Our neighborhood Summer Food Drive was a success once again. An amazing 57 households donated dry food and canned goods. Thanks to your generosity, we collected about 1,250 pounds of food, which will help feed about 750 families in need in the San Fernando Valley.

Pascual Salazar and MEND (Meet Each Need With Dignity) are incredibly grateful foryour donation! Were excited to continue working together to support our community through food drives in the future.

Join Us for Our Summer Food Drive July 18th! Please leave items in a visible area form the street inside the bag. We will be driving around the neighborhood between 8AM-11AM Saturday. To ensure your donations are picked up, you can rsvp on the right hand side before the event or text/call us at (818) 209-8323. As always all donations will be going to MEND Poverty in Pacoima.

Suggested Food Items:

• Rice (1-2lb bag) • Canned Vegetables • Pinto beans (1-2lb bag) • Oatmeal

• Spaghetti Sauce • Fruit Cups -Canned Soup (all kinds) • Cereal -Canned Juices

• Ground Coffee • Power/ Granola Bars • Peanut Butter -Pull-Top Canned Meats • Mac & Cheese

-Canned Tomatoes • Dry Pasta • Other Canned Goods

 

Our Story

For the last 10 years, twice a year, I have organized a large food drive in the neighborhoods of North Hollywood and the Valley Village Area. I pick up food and supplies and deliver them to MEND Poverty in Pacoima.

Each year around June and November for Thanksgiving, I organize people to donate over 1,500 pounds of food and supplies. It is a great event that I will keep doing every year.
