Just a quick note to say thank you for taking part in our Holiday Food Drive! Your neighborhood really stepped up, with an amazing 77 households donating. Thanks to your generosity, we collected 1,457 pounds of food, which will help feed about 870 families in need in the San Fernando Valley. Pascual Salazar and MEND (Meet Each Need With Dignity) are incredibly grateful for your donation! We’re excited to continue working together to support our community through future food drives.
Our Story
For the last 10 years, twice a year, I have organized a large food drive in the neighborhoods of North Hollywood and the Valley Village Area. I pick up food and supplies and deliver them to MEND Poverty in Pacoima.
Each year around June and November for Thanksgiving, I organize people to donate over 1,500 pounds of food and supplies. It is a great event that I will keep doing every year.
